The 1-hour meet n’ greet is the starting place for our work together. I require all prospective clients to begin with this important step. This time allows us to get to know each other, allows me to introduce my practice in more depth, and allows you to ask all the questions your heart desires before inviting me to join your support team. Please use the scheduling form below to book your meet n’ greet. The appointment can happen online via Zoom, or in person at your home or a nearby cafe.

After we review my contract and your deposit is in, it’s time for me to deepen my understanding of your needs and desires so that I can best support you. In the months and weeks leading up to your birth, we will meet two times. Ideally, these prenatal sessions will be in person. During each session, we will:
Check in on how pregnancy is feeling for you.
Develop your ideal birth plan.
Discuss things you might hear, feel, or say during labor.
Introduce movement and positioning techniques that will support your birth experience.
Throughout our time working together you will recieve acess to my resource list of other birth professionals and holistic treatment providers.

If and when you think your body has begun preparing to meet your baby, give me a call. I give clients a two-hour window between when they call and when I will arrive at their location. My ringer is on 24/7 for you starting two weeks before you are due to give birth, and it will stay that way until you meet your baby. Once I’m with you, I support you during and between contractions, work with the care team to understand how the baby’s positioning might be impacting your labor, and keep you fed, hydrated, and grounded. I am there for you until you meet your baby, and will gently exit between 1-3 hours post-birth.
-
Between 1 and 5 days postpartum, I will come for a visit and use the time to be supportive of your current needs. Some options include:
Do your dishes.
Prepare your favorite recipe to store in the freezer.
Verbally and emotionally process your birth.
Answer questions you have.
Hold your baby while you nap.
Develop a plan of support for the coming weeks/months.
We will then schedule a second postpartum visit, after which my time supporting you will be complete.
Sliding scale
$0-$500.
The Birth Doula Package is priced on a sliding scale ranging from $0-$500. This means that, depending on your needs, you can pay me anywhere between $0 and $500 to be your birth doula. Regardless of the price you pay, the care and support I deliver to you stays the same. This model functions on the honor system. I will not question the amount you pay me, and you will truly consider the capacity you have to compensate your doula. Think of it like this: say you pay me $400 to be your birth doula. Then, a couple of months later, I am hired as the birth doula for someone who cannot financially compensate me at all (they pay me $0). The $400 you paid me now helps me support my work with the latter client, expanding birth care across economic status and increasing equity. I recognize that it is a privilege to be financially supported enough to work with this payment model and hope that it returns agency to birthing people of all identities.
If you identify as a part of the BIPOC community, the sliding scale ranges from $0-$300. Check out this Evidence-Based Birth article on anti-racism in health care and birth work to learn more about why racially equitable economic practices are important.
